Gratitude

Well, here we are, a little more than a week away from Thanksgiving Day. And that means that the Winter Solstice Festival is right around the corner.

This is such a grace-full time of year, as Samhain slides into the camaraderie of friends and family on Thanksgiving, and then we move into the season of the Winter Solstice and then Christmas and New Year’s.

This year, my sons and I got together this week for a “Thanksgiving” dinner since we all have other plans on the actual holiday. It was really wonderful. I got to meet Sean’s new girlfriend in person, and we all that a lot of fun together. I am truly grateful for my family.

The Sedona Winter Solstice Festival is gearing up, and I am so excited that my friend, Keith Varnum, will be one of the keynote speakers. He, in many ways, was instrumental in my move to Arizona, so this really feels like an honor to me, to have him there… a culmination of the past 21 years.

There are other things in the works these days also. Within the next year or so, my dream of a spiritual, earth-friendly retreat center may actually become a reality. A team of us are working on such a thing right now. You can check out EdenShire, to see what we are doing. Fun times ahead!
